The Amani Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit that’s bringing real life solutions to families living in poverty in Kenya and The Dominican Republic. Our aim is to ensure that children and families have access to opportunities and resources that help them thrive.

At the Amani Foundation we’ve seen first hand the power of change that can happen when people rally around children and families to provide solutions that break the poverty cycle. For the last eight years we’ve had the privilege to serve as a catalyst for change to over 140,000 people living in some of the hardest places on Earth.

At the heart of our vision is Freedom Hope Centers for children living in poverty, Adia Empowerment Centers offering vocational training for adults and clean water wells. 

These three proven methods of transformation bring hope to people living in hard places by offering real life opportunities.

Children & Families

Children & Families are where we start and are at the center of what we do. Every community is made up of families. The stronger the family, the stronger the community.

Freedom Hope Centers

Located at indigenous churches or schools in Kenya and the Dominican Republic, Hope Centers are led by Child Champions who have a passion to see their own communities transformed one child and one family at a time.

THE WORLD WE SEE...

We see a world where a child in poverty has a champion — someone who loves them and supports them as they overcome adversity. Someone who believes in them, listens to them, and challenges them to persevere. 

We see a world where the families of these children are lifted from the poverty cycle through vocational and skills development. With practical skills these families can join the workforce or start their own businesses. 

We see a world where communities made up of these families are transformed into life-giving, self-sustaining groups of people who in-turn, affect change on a larger scale.
