Shujaa Community Center Job Training Scholarships

The Shujaa Community Center is a trade school offering training in culinary arts, carpentry, tailoring, photography, videography and video and sound Production as well as business and computer classes. The vision of The Shujaa Community Center is to help young adults not able to attend a university to learn skills that will enable them to start their own businesses. "We create job MAKERS, not just job TAKERS." 

The first phase of training has launched with the creation of the Adia Art School focusing on culinary arts as well as video and sound engineering.


The Amani Foundation is raising funds to help scholarship students for a six month program at The Shujaa Community Center. Our goal is to scholarship 20 students.

Impact: 20 young adults with 6 months of job training


Benefits: 

When you give a willing person an opportunity to learn a trade, that person can thrive. By providing practical job training, students can go on to start businesses of their own. As those businesses grow, they will not only provide for themselves and their families, they will also be able to provide employment for others. This self-sustaining employment approach helps break the poverty cycle that holds so many back in developing countries.
