Adia Empowerment Center Vocational School
The Adia Empowerment Center empowers individuals through vocational and skill development. We build thriving communities through vocational training and entrepreneurial opportunities.
In Kenya, only 1% of the population will attend college or trade school (compared to 62% in the US). And right now, 80% of Kenya’s population is under the age of 35. It’s a young country with a severe lack of opportunities for education and skill development.
Our dream is the help change that.
Adia Empowerment Centers bridge the gap by providing affordable and accessible training programs. Programs that teach specific trade skills to motivated adults so they can join the job market or, even better, start their own businesses.
The Amani Foundation raised the funds to build a 16,000 square foot, 4 story building that houses this life changing school. Complete with classrooms, restrooms and a full commercial kitchen and cafe, the Adia Empowerment Center serves as a training center for those desiring to start their own businesses and thus breaking the poverty cycle.
